WOW!!!

This morning I heard what I initially thought might be a duck, but, when I went outside, I saw what I think is a female pheasant! In Cook County, they are listed as "uncommon." We are soooo excited!



Now, the list of somewhat unusual critters making their homes in our yard include:

1. Eastern Red Phase Screech owl
2. White tail deer (visits, and eats roses)
3. Coyote (not living here; just visits)
4. Opossum
5. Raccoons (plural)
6. Pair of Mallard ducks
7. Skunk (not entirely welcome)
8. Pheasant
9. Various bunnies

Other, more "normal" birds also. For an urban suburban lot, this is an amazing assortment of critters!!
