Copala is an old mining town. It also is known for its copal resin.
It's a charming town where people from Mazatlan come for lunch.
The church, here, too is built of native stone by two miners.
After this "day" trip, we walked around Mazatlan (about 5 miles each day) just looking, then we sat on the beach and read, listening to the waves, and vegging out.
